    Shop-a-holic

I can't believe this is coming out of my mouth. "I don't want to do anymore shopping!" I can't believe this is coming out of my mouth.  "i'm tired of shopping."  Well i'm tired of shopping for kids clothes.

My day was all about going from one school (Johnna's meet and greet) to an Ice Cream Social (Annarae's meet and greet).  In between it all, I had to pick up the last few things for Annie's school uniform.  Which by the way if you are looking for uniforms they have some really cute ones at Old Navy and at JCPenny's.  So back and forth we went trying to find a good deal and also to get the best fit.  We did buy most of the items at Old Navy.  But the cute peter pan collared blouses were to good a deal to pass up.

After that i took Annie to her 'Bark for Books' at the library.  That was nice, she read a whole book to a dog.  Then gave the dog a treat.  Since we don't have pets it's a great way to get the pet thing without the pet.  Of course it ended with the ice cream social for Annie.

It was fun to see a little bit of the school, since this will be Annarae's 1st year at this school.  There were people that i ran into from her pre-k days.  One of kids is even in her class.  So she was more confident of the whole new school thing.  Which set my mind at ease.  Of course, i was probably more nervous than she was. LOL!  Johnna's teacher and aid look like they will be great too.  No messing around with the kids, like with teasing and cliques.  That was funny.  Johnna is 4 going on 5 and apparently there may be cliques forming in her Jr. K class.  I guess i was lucky i never went to Preschool.  So that's it.

I'm going to call my sis-in-law or god-sis now and relay my whole day to her.

    See ya,

Ps. Crystal if you read this blog, sorry i couldn't get back to you.  I will talk to ya tomorrow!  Love ya!

    Pizza at Ave

I went to my formation mtg at the church.  It was so that we all can get to know the other voluteer RE teachers and the classroom teachers (we will be using their classrooms for RE).  It was nice.  They gave away door prizes but i didn't win anything. Sad  The whole group that i was in was great.  The teachers were pretty accomadating too.  It all went well.  We ate pizza and had a good time.

Came home and read the cutest story with Annarae.  I'm adding it to the list of books.  I have so many books started that i hope i can finish all of them before they're due back to the library.  That's what i will try to get to tonight.  Have sweet dreams!  Jen

    Johnna's Day

Off to gymnastics class for Johnna.  She loves the class so far and can almost do a bridge(not sure what it's really called).  The length of her arms are really what causes the problem.  Thanks to Tressie and Aunt Tea for becoming my 1st official friends!  It feels good to be liked!  I'll see you later,

    Long night

Last night i fell asleep right at the beginning of the 9news.  I slept for a while in the living room on the sofa.  Eventually, i moved into the bedroom.  Of course by that time i was not really tired.  I reviewed a couple of books and then finally went back to sleep.  Billy didn't even attempt to wake me up.  If he did, I don't remember.  LOL!

So today i'm off to the park for sure.  By the time we got out yesterday, it was raining.  Which was kinda of fun.  We tryed to not get wet whenever we left the truck.  Especially at the library when we had tons of books to return.  It wasn't the greated time to go to Safeway either.  But we didn't have a plan for dinner so it was unavoidable.

    Have fun today!  Jen

    Last nights storm

Last night was crazy...well let's say it was beautiful and a little scary.  So the storm that came in was rather quick, but it did produce alot of rain and some neat lightning.  I have added it to my page for ur reference.  Take a look, words can't really descibe some of the sights and sounds.  Except to say that it was really loud at times and it did make me shake a little.  Enjoy!

I have a free day today.  Actually, i did have an appt. to have surgery on my foot (a cyst).  But the cyst went away and hopefully will never come back again!  I wasn't that it was extremely painful or anything, thankfully.  My feeling aren't that i'm scared or nervous about the dr. removing the cyst either.  It all has to do with the recovery after.  I would be in a boot for about 4 weeks after the operation.  Which if you have ever been in a boot, you would know how aggravating it is.  At the beginning of the year I fractured my other foot and had to wear a boot for 4 weeks.  I just got so tired of taking if off and on that i sometimes didn't wear it once i really put my feet up for the day.  Stupid, i know, but i just got so tired of it.  So that's why i'm really happy that my cyst went away..lol.

I do have to run some errands and them maybe take the kids to the park or something.  Better get going, have a good day!  Jen

    Dreams...what do they mean

Last night's dream was confusing.  It all started off like i was sleeping.  Then when i awoke i was in a hurry to leave somewhere.  I went the bathroom to grab my contacts and extras for the trip.  After do that, I got in the car and took my nephew Christopher to a concert (i no longer was going out of town, apparently).  Except, the concert turned out to be a movie and when we arrived it was almost over, so we left.  I remember passing by this big line of people, if that is of any signifigance.  That was pretty much it.  Wonder what that all meant?

    Sunday, Sunday, Sunday

    Good morning world,
So it's morning, Sunday Aug. 5th.  Today i work pretty much all day.  I only work 2 days out of the week, so you would think that i don't have much to complain about.  But don't be surprised i do...just kidding.  I know if i didn't work outside of the home, I personally would be a lot more angry.  I do get frustrated at work, but i try to leave it there, and even when i do get upset, i try to realize that I only work 2 days here so i should just get over it.

I do miss the weekends with the familia.  Occasionally, I do ask for one of the days off, so I can be part of them again.

Billy (bless him) is making breakfast and I threw out the little laddle we always used for pancakes..lol.  See sometimes this organizing isn't all what it's cracked up to be.  So i guess he will have to improvise.  Yum!  Pancakes and sausage my favorite.

    Have a great Sunday Morning,
    Jen

    A day at Formation

Today was wonderful.  I'm voluteering at my church to teach RE.  Any way, they had a formation meeting to help motivate and explain things to the new and returning people.  They had a cool presenter, Kathy Hendricks she gave a really great speech.  It was really inspiring.  I'm looking forward to teaching the kids this year.  I was feeling a little nervous, but after all of the info i'm really feeling good about it.  I hope anyone that voluteers at their church, has a good support system like my parish.  Thanks so much to all the people on the Religious Ed team.

    One Clean Day

    Hi,

I'm so happy to say that i'm finally done cleaning and straightening things out.  I cleared out the kid's closet.  I was able to fill a whole trash bag with just their clothes that they of course have too much of.  They were a little surprised to see some of their clothes being given away.  But i told Annie, "If you wanted to keep your stuff, you should have helped me clean."  This happens all the time.  I seem to consume so much stuff that it just seems unbelievable that we aren't overrun by toys and clothes and newspapers.  After I finished with their closet, it looked pretty good.

Of course, when you live with a pack-rat (Billy) you always have a mess somewhere.  It's so funny because he is such a good cleaner, and loves our home to be clean, but we always have little stacks of papers or mail hanging around somewhere.  This is why i am forever getting organizing books.  Billy lucked out by marrying me.  I'm the one who just tosses things without a 2nd thought.  My mom was always doing that when i was growing up.  I used to think that I lost a lot of good stuff.  But it was just material things, i still have my memory.  At least until i lose that...just kidding.

I even cleaned out our closet a little.  I ended up with another big bag full of clothes that i never wear and you wouldn't believe the shoes that i'm donating.  I'm both sad and happy to see them go.  But someone get some good use out of them.  And love them as much as I did...lol.

So after all the cleaning, i was not wanting to make dinner.  So I made fishsticks.  Quick and easy, just throw them in the oven.  I forgot that fishsticks aren't that bad when you know you don't want to make anything else for dinner.

It was such a dreary day.  It rained very heavily for some time.  Then it cleared and was sunny, but then it got dark again.

Billy came home after work and it was so funny when he was watching the news.  He always shares his opinion with the TV.  Annarae asked him, "Why are you talking to the TV, they can't hear you?"  I laughed so hard.  I was just thinking the same thing when she spoke up.  Then when he spoke to the tv again, she asked the same question again.  This time he said he was talking to me.  I don't even know for sure what he said and I guess it doesn't matter because he wasn't really talking to me.  That was funny too!

Last night Billy and Annarae read together it was so sweet.  Annie really enjoys reading, any chance she gets in the evening, she wants to read with someone or to somebody.  The other night she read Johnna a bedtime story.  It was really touching.  To bad the girls can't get along 24/7.  I do appreciate the times they get along though.

This is Johnna with her short haircut.  Actually, this is at least with a months worth of growth to her it.  She loves her hair short and so do I.  Also pix of before and after the storm.  And Annie reading to Daddy.

    See ya,

    This is Good night

    Good Night,

I hope you noticed i added some stuff to my page.  Just thought i would make it a little prettier.  I love Hello Kitty!  She is super cute.  I also like Betty Boop, but still on the lookout for one image of her that i totally love.

The familia is in bed and Billy is probably snoring.  I'm freezing, but i usually am in this house.  Billy always has the a/c blasting.  I could almost guarantee that the temp. is below 68.  But you know that you have to always have a blanket or dress in sweats.

I don't have any plans for tomorrow.  So relieved, to have a day to do really nothing.  The main thing i have to get done is organizing the girl's closet.  I want to make this area so much more organized, so that when i'm running Annie late to school, everything will be easy to find.  Really it's that Nini is the late one.  She is forever dragging her feet.  But what can you do.  I'm only the mom..lol!

I think i finally decided i really love to blog.  At 1st i thought, oh my gosh, i'm letting all this stuff out into the world.  But now i think this is pretty cool and freeing.  Or maybe it is refreshing.  Of course fun, can never leave that lil' adjective out.  So i hope you enjoy what you read and come back more and more.  Have a good night!

    Happy Dreams,
    Jen

    To the Dr. we go.

    Hello,
I have been so sleepy today.  I went early to be bed last night.  That seems to always be the problem.  When i get a good amt. of sleep then it seems like i feel like that all day, the next day.

So this morning I took the girls to the eye doctor.  That was interesting.  Annarae who has had her eyes checked at her regular dr.'s office but never by an optometrist (? spelling).  So she was a little nervous.  Remember that she is 6.  Of course, Johnna (4) was not scared at all.  It was so cute to see Nini name off the pictures for her eye test.  The doctor was great.  Very patient and not bad looking at all.  So i guess it was a nice for all...lol.  I have included 2 pix of the girls to keep everyone in the know.  Thankfully, the dr. said that the girls were fine.  Annie was a lil' disappointed to know she would not be getting glasses.  Dr. Bell said this is normal.  Most kids that don't need glasses want to wear them and of course when they do have to get glasses the novelty wears off after 2-3 days of wearing and caring for them.

So that was my day.  Billy and I had lunch together.  When he's working so close to home he can come home and we can have a little lunch together.  It's nice!

Have some other stuff to talk about...will continue later tonight.

    See ya,
    Jen

    Wednesday 8/1/07

    Hi,

Well today was busy.  Nini (Johnna) went to gymnastics this morning.  They had the gym set up so cool.  The kids had a mini-obstacle course.  It looked like lots of fun.  After that we toured Annarae's school.  Really we just went and saw the gym and registered.  Lots of paperwork.  Annie made a friend.  Hopefully she will be in the same class as her.

We went grocery shopping.  That took about an hour.  But since i've been reading that book about organizing.  So i stuck to my list and only strayed from it to buy one last forgotten school supply for Annie.  The list totally worked and I got everything that i needed...i think.  We had to get some picnic supplies at Walmart, for the church picnic this evening.

So after resting, we got the picnic bag together and headed to the Ave Maria.  It was really fun.  The choir sang and it was also the farewell to the youth director Nicolas Moragues.  He did some beautiful and very touching singing himself.  I was moved, and the girls loved it.  They threw hands up and let the spirit take them.  I wish i had taken some pix, but i didn't even think of it.

Finally by the end of all of this, lil' Nini was exhausted.  She begged to go home instead of having some goodies after the praise and worship.  Pretty surprising, but she did have gym today, so it all makes sense.  That is that!

God Bless all the people being effected by the collapsed bridge in Minneapolis.

    Take care,
    Jen
    July 31

    Still July 31st

So, now it is nightfall.  I don't know if I like the web or not.  It's so fun getting this thing put together but at the same time it is harder than i thought.  Still fun though, so I will stop complaining.

Annie went to Gymnastics and loved it of course.  They did the uneven bars, floor work, and the vault.  I was really surprised to see her almost do a handstand.  She is only in beginner girls gymnatstics and this being her 2nd time at class, i was happy to see a small progression.  Other than that, she had fun and we are now moving her into the Friday class.  She will be in a smaller class with one of her good friends from her old school.

When we got home, she did of course have a bad attitude about eating dinner.  I know she is just a kid, but she is so picky about food.  Most of the time when she does try something she thinks she will not like, she does end up liking it.  Very funny and frustrating.  Tonight was no different, but she won out (both girls) and i made Velveeta shells for them.

I get frustrated and think to myself, was i ever like this?  Probably not...hahaha!  My mom would definitly say that i'm just getting back what i dished out when i was a kid.  Of course, this doesn't make my frustration go away.  Had a hard time at bedtime too.  But what can you do right?  Annarae ending up reading a bedtime story to Johnna, which was really neat.  That put an end to the crying. Well better go!

    Good night,
    Jen

    My morning

Good day,  this morning the girls and i rushed out to the free movie that they show at the local theatre.  It was Clifford, it was cute.  Annie and Nini thought it was both sad and funny.

Last night, Annarae has really got the hang of riding her bike without training wheels.  She is so excited about it.  Even after falling, she still wanted to get back on her bike and ride around some more.  Johnna is doing great on her lil bike too.  She can ride standing up.  This is all thanks to Billy's patience and persistance.

Tonight, I think we will stay in and watch the movie 300.  I got it from one of those Redboxs.  I went to the website and got a free movie code, which was pretty cool.  Annie does have gymnastics this afternoon.  Second time going to the gym.  She seems to really have taken to it.  I totally thought this was going to be a Nini-thing.  Annarae seems to like it too.  Nini, of course loves gymnastics.  She is pretty strong, flexible, balanced and fearless.  I think all of that makes gymnastics a perfect choice for Johnna.

School starts in like 2 weeks for the kids.  I so want this school year to be to school on time.  Billy has been wanting to start the girls going to bed early, so they will get used to waking up early.  But really, if i'm not going to bed early too, it is not going to that successful.  I really don't like going to bed early.  I'm more of a nite-person.  Well that's all for now.

    Talk to ya later,
    Jen
    July 30

    Weekend

It was a weekend.  Nothing but work.  It went by quick, so i really shouldn't complain.  Billy stayed at home and vegged.  The girls had tons of fun playing online.  They have discovered Webkins.  Annarae has a webkins so she can play on the site.

Today, Monday:  I signed Annie and Nini up for yogakids at the library.  It was pretty cute.  They did yoga and I participated a little. Then it was off to the last day at gymnastics at the rec center.  Billy is home for lunch and you are all caught up to date for now!

    Take care,
    Jen

    Friday 7/27/07

Hi, well this is my 1st blog.  Things are well here in CO.  Billy is tucking the girls in for the night.  I've become addicted to going online, since we just got hi-speed.  Other than that things are pretty much the same!

    See ya,
